F105 Thunderchief

Napalm over ‘Nam

The F105 Thunderchief was one of the workhorses of the Vietnam war flying low level bombing missions over the north. It used its great speed as it’s primary defense against enemy Migs.

This model represents the aircraft in SEA (Southeast Asia Camouflage) whilst dropping napalm over the jungle in support of US ground forces. The model represents the ‘Polish Glider’, the aircraft that General Donald J Kutyna flew during the war. This large piece (7 feet by 2 feet) features a 1/32 scale F105 with illuminated napalm explosions. The explosions are illuminated by household LED bulbs guaranteeing a long life.
